• World Urban Forum will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 22 - 26 March. It was established to examine the impact of rapid urbanization on cities, economies, and climate change. It will include rountables, a gender assembly, and youth assembly. It will be a farewell conference for Habitat Executive Director Anna Tibaijuka. The usual outcome.
  
  

• A "High-Level" (always High Level) Dialogue on Financing for Development will be held at U.N. Headquarters in New York on 23 and 24 March. The first day will consist of speeches overseen by the General Assembly President. The second day will be devoted to three "interactive multi-stakeholders" roundtables. The usual outcome.
  
  

• The Secretary General will participate as an observer at the meeting of Arab heads of state to be held in Lybia end of March. The usual outcome.
