• The heads of state of Latin American countries will be meeting before the end of April. With no senior Latino official in the Secretariat, it will be interesting to note how the current Secretary General will be received -- besides the customary correct courtesy.
  
  

• With the appointment of a new head for UNDP, a question looms on the term of the Deputy Administrator who had actively pushed for his own candidacy.
  
  

• The special Tribunal investigating the murder of Lebanese Premier Hariri moved officially to the Hague. The Chief U.N. Investigator is expected to turn Prosecutor. An early decision he will have to make relates to four Lebanese officers who had been held in custody.
