The G-20 group of financially viable countries, which seems to have replaced the G-8 group of industrialized
countries, will be meeting in Cannes, France next November.

UNESCO Executive Board will be meeting late June to discuss a controversial fund of $15 million offered
over the next five years in the name of President Obiang of Equatorial Guinea. Human Rights groups consider the Fund as an attempt to whitewash
Mr. Obiang's oppressive regime.

"What will it take to achieve the Millennium Development Goals?" An "international assessment" sponsored
by UNDP Administrator Helen Clark will be make public soon. Expect more of the same.
