  • The Association of Former International Civil Servants (AFICS) will commemorate 35 years of its existence with a general gathering, and a piano concert at the Dag Hammarskjold Library on 18 May. It will also elect a new president.

  • A Capital Master Plan will be reviewed further. Unclear to most U.N. staff, it entials moving them to another location, yet undecided, until the present premises were ready to welcome them back. All up in the air. But real estate agents are busy.

  • The post of Executive Secretary of the U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific is expected to open by June.
