• The U.N. Day on 24 October will be celebrated in various forms, including a special message and a habitual concert that varies with each Secretary-General.

• Preparations for a summit on Climate Change in Paris next December are already at full speed. Even the usually discreet French Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Quai d'Orsay in Paris posted several proclamations on its wall, highlighting the need for action.

• Two interesting movies will be drawing particular attention. "The Truth" has Robert Redford playing CBS prominent News Anchor Dan Rather, who had to leave after a controversial dispute over U.S. President and fellow Texan George W. Bush. The other is "Steve Jobs" about, well, the adopted orphan who changed everyone's daily life, except, perhaps the attitude of its Director.
