The General Non-Governmental Organizations meeting will be held on
8 September by the Secretary General. The main theme deals with the Millenium Goals. Members
of civil societies from around the world will be coming to New York for that occasion organized
by Paul Hoeffel and his team at the Department of Public Information.

A special meeting about protecting women at times of war will be held at
U.N. Headquarters mid-September. Ministers of Justice and a number of prominent women
active in conflict resolution will participate.

Get your special passes. The new session of the General Assembly opens on
Tuesday 14 September and the General Debate -- with very restricted movements -- will start
on Monday 20 September.
