WHAT IS "NESTING"? REPETITIVE BUREAUCRACY

Consistent erosion of teamwork is reflected in decisions to transfer joint office collaboration into individual open space. By now, there are floors where any employee could take a seat and work on his or her own, regardless of relevance to a nearby colleague, each one operating individually. To those who dedicated their careers to work collaboratively with others toward common goals at the United Nations, such a trend seemed like a continuation of a persistent effort to undercut the concept of teamwork, a basic requirement of International Civil Servants. Following are newly-issued directives on how to operate individually, including how to avoid "nesting." No teamwork?
