On Nelson Mandela's anniversary, South Africa Broadcasting placed on YouTube its interview with Samir Sanbar on his work with Mr. Mandela during his seclusion, then when becoming
President and visiting the U.N.
When asked for a general comment on the absence of Mr. Mandela, Mr. Sanbar thought that in a fragmented, conflicted world, the lack of national leaders with international
credentials meant that Halos are out and Selfies were in.
A lesson for international officials is: Don't just say something, do something.
