|REMEMBER THE 50 U.N. PERSONNEL KILLED IN RWANDA
While we remember the horrific events that occurred 20 years ago, let us not forget the 50 United Nations personnel that were killed in Rwanda.
During April 1994, 39 national staff members lost their lives working for various U.N. programmes and agencies. The following are their names:

Ten Belgian peacekeepers with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda (UNAMIR) lost their lives 20 years ago. Here are their names:

Meaux, Lieutenant Thierry Lotin, Corporal Stephane Lhoir, 1st Sergeant Yannick Leroy, Corporal Christophe Dupont.
In addition, Damascene Sindikubwabo, a staff member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, was killed in Rwanda on 8 June 1994.
